In early February 2015 by order of the Prime Minister an interdepartmental working group was formed.
Its main objective was to develop a Concept for Practical Adoption of Regulatory Impact Assessment in the legislative process of the Bulgarian National Assembly and Council of Ministers.
The working group concluded its accepting the Concept in the end of March 2015. The concept envisages the introduction of a unified methodology for doing Regulatory Impact Assessments in the structures of the Council of Ministers and the National Assembly. This common framework will be subsequently tailored to the legislative process in both structure and deepend in accordance with the specific needs within the executive respectively the legislative power.
In early April during one of its sessions, the Council for Administrative Reform adopted the final version of the Concept.
